Backlinks and Link Building
I don't sell backlinks. I don't recommend you purchase back links from anyone. Nobody. It's difficult and time consuming to find high page rank websites that allow posting of outbound links. If you can easily post the link to your website somewhere, such as a chat forum or message board. then anyone can and everyone is posting their links. This is known as spamming and google recognizes it as such.
I will get into how to build links to your website from good quality sites later on this page.

Linked Buildking vs Earned Links
Linked Buildking vs Earned Links. Talk about building authority and not just links. Building links and authority is an ongoing process. It's not a one and done endeavor. The most important thing you can do is get the easy links first.
1. Claim all your listings on the websites people are searching for local businesses on at minimum.
2. Go after the other links. The directory type websites that have page rank (authority). You and I may have never heard of the website but the Algorithm that is Google has. There are many to get links from. (many are no-follow, maybe I should list or sell a list of websites they can get links to. If I sell them the list. I leave a brief description of the website, it's rank, how to create the link, etc.
3. Go after content links.
I could list the most important websites first. Rank them in 2 ways. Websites people are using to find their business. Websites that are local search sites that have some authority but people aren't using very much to actually search for your business. Brownbook.com and Manta are 2 sites like this. They have authority but they're not used often when people are searching for local services.

Backlinks and Inbound Links are one in the same. This is when someone puts a link to your website on their website. You have an interesting article or blog post on your website, people want to share it with the visitors to their website so they write a little something about your business and post the clickable link to your website. This is how inbound links are supposed to work.
But leave it to the spammers to mess up everything. In the late 1990's and into the mid 2000's the spammers were placing links on whatever website they possibly could to get their sites to rank better. It worked. . . until google caught on and did an algorithm change that started evaluating the quality of the inbound links (backlinks) to websites. The spammers would put up a series of websites and place links on all of them, linking to each other. They would also go to forums on ragingbull, yahoo and every other site they could find to place links on to their websites or the websites of their clients. Most chat forums and review sites don't allow links on their sites any longer because of this.
Inbound links to your site are still very good for SEO. If you have good quality websites linking to your website, it will raise the ranking of your website with google. Inbound links is the best way to get your page rank up. When other sites link to your site, this tells Google that people trust your website. Google ranks your website and every page on your website with what they call "Google Page Rank." The grade is from 0 to 10. Most websites and every page on the website are ranked at zsero because they don't have any decent Inbound links to their site. To build links you need to have content on your website that people find interesting and want to link to.
Keep in mind every link is not created equal. If you have one link from the NY Times, it will raise your website ranking and page ranking on at least the page they linked to. Links from trusted sites that have page rank raise your page rank. Links from sites with very little traffic and zero or low page rank don't help your site much if at all. In fact if you hire a seo link spammer to get backlinks to your site, you will actually hurt your page ranking. Yes. You would think your page rank can't fall below zero. If you have a bunch of spammy websites linking to your website, google might just give you a manual penalty. What is a manual penalty? They take your website out of their index. Your website is no longer on google. Takeaway is to never hire those people selling you back links to your website.
The best way to get good inbound links to your site is to create great content that people want to share with their website visitors. You can also get links from you local chamber of commerce when they list your business. Dot Gov links are always good links. You can get links from your suppliers and other businesses in your business category. It's important to have links from websites relative to your business or they may look spammy to google. A good rule of thumb is: If the link is easy to get, like posting it yourself on a website somewhere then it's almost guaranteed to not be a high value inbound link. If anyone can post their link to their website, everyone does. That website will have 100's or thousands or outbound links on their website because no doubt the spammers found that site a long time ago and posted links on it. When your website has links from spammy websites, this will definitely hurt your search engine ranking. You are in a bad neighborhood. In fact unscrupulous people will post links to a competitor's website all over the internet on spammy sites to hurt their ranking. If you ever find a spammy website linking to your website you can go to google webmaster tools and "disavow" the link. Sometimes this is all you can do because spammy websites are difficult to reach when you call them to request your link be removed.
Your website can still make it to the first page of google with absolutely no inbound links to your site, depending on your keyword competition for each keyword or keyword phrase.
The takeaway here is to not hire a spammer to go out there and put links on a bunch of websites he set up to put links on so he can sell you links to your site. This is how they do it. Pure garbage.

Not All Backlinks Are Created Equal
Not all backlinks are created equal. When someone links to your website from their website, there are two types of links. Of course this is for google seo. There are follow links and no-follow links. Follow links give you juice. they are good for seo. A website owner might choose to tell google not to follow the link. The link still works so people can click and visit your website but no-follow is chosen so the website linking to your website doesn't transfer any page authority to your site. Follow links gives the page on your website that is linked to more juice, better page rank. Google still knows that someone put a link on their website to your website. They can see it in the code. Common thought is no-follow links still help your page rank, especially from websites with high page rank - 3 or higher. Google page rank is from Zero to 10.
If you have zero links to your website, google knows that. If you have 100 incoming links to your site, google knows that and they know who links to you.
